1. I gave birth @ 34 1/2wks (thank God my kulit bulilit stayed in the Nicu for 6 days only).
2. I never thought that I will settle down here in the US, but here I am with my loving husband & adorable son.
3. I'm scared to drive, I have a driver's license but I rarely drive.
4. I just learned to cook when I got married.
5. I'm very OC when it comes to cleaning the bathroom, I don't even let hubby to clean it even if he wants to. If he insists, I'll ended up cleaning it again.=p
6. I love shopping ( especially when its on sale!)
7. I don't know any sports. Good thing there's Wii sports...hehe
8. I wasn't able to breastfeed my son for a longer period of time, I quit on his 4th month (low supply of milk).
9. I collect romantic comedy/drama dvd movies.
10. I hate math...period!

A Stress Free Black Friday Sale

Hubby and I usually start our christmas gifts shopping on Black Friday or the after Thanksgiving sale. We never miss this event for 3 years in a row. Imagine the cold weather outside since it falls on the 4th Thursday of November. We will wake up as early as 4am and join a massive people awaiting the door to open for the store's huge sale. Some people even sleep outside the store just to avail a limited item on sale. It is indeed a much anticipated day here in the United States.

However, this year we'll be doing our black friday shopping in a different way. I found out a great website which offers a lot of thanksgiving deals. What a relief that we don't need to wake up early anymore to shop. I just signed up my email address and I can receive an email alert about the Black Friday 2008 ads even before it hits the Thanksgiving Day newspaper. What's even more exciting about this is I can purchase an item online on stores such as Toy R' US, Meijer, Old Navy, Walmart, Target and Best Buy. A Total hassle free shopping.

We tend to be a compulsive buyer when we go out during the after thanksgiving sale. This website will absolutely saves us a lot of money for the next holiday.

Birthday Shower

We were supposed to have a baby shower for the parents-to-be Maita and Windell last Saturday.
However, Maita's water bag broke a day before the party.
May 24 @ 9:05am, she gave birth on her 38th week to a healthy baby boy.
I guess our baby shower was a too late and the baby could not wait anymore...hehe.
Our 6:30pm baby shower that day became a BIRTHDAY shower instead.

Before the party, hubby & I visited the new parents in the hospital to congratulate them and to see their new bundle of joy.
Baby Linc is so cute and adorable!
Windell was able to join us during the party for awhile and showed everybody the picture of baby Linc.
We're all happy for the couple, a new addition to the Filipino community here in Southern Indiana.
Jeremy has a new playmate also, yipee!
To Maita & Windell, congratulations again and welcome to the world baby Linc. =)

Manila Ocean Park

We will be in Manila for 2 weeks next month .
One of our agenda is to bring kulit bulilit and his cousins in Manila Ocean Park .
We've been in some aquatic parks here in the US, but, of course I would like to experience pa rin our very own oceanarium.
I hope our little boy will enjoy his visit there, excited na ako when I saw their website pa lang. =)

Mom's Special Day

We had lunch at Jade Palace Restaurant after the 11:30am mass last Sunday to celebrate Mother's day.
Majority of the day was spent in the house because of the bad weather plus kulit bulilit was not feeling well.
I got a mother's day card from the Jlo's and havaianas slippers as a gift.
Thanks!!! I love you. I'm so blessed to have you both.

Monday, May 12, it was my birthday naman.
I just turned 30! (tanda ko na!...hehe)
Hubby took a half day off. We went to Oxmoor & St. Matthews Mall for a "little" shopping.
Then, we had a dinner reservation at P.F. Chang's China Bistro in Louisville,KY with some of our good friends.
Originally, hubby wanted to give me a birthday party since I'm turning 30 na raw.
I begged not to throw a party, I wanted a simple celebration lang.
My wish was granted naman...hehe

Before I was a Mom,
I never tripped over toys
or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not
my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.



Before I was a Mom,
I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind
and my thoughts.
I slept all night.



Before I was a Mom,
I never held down a screaming child
so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night
watching a baby sleep.



Before I was a Mom,
I never held a sleeping baby just because
I didn't want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces
when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small
could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.



Before I was a Mom,
I didn't know the feeling of
having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel
to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond
between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small
could make me feel so important and happy.


Before I was a Mom,
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night
every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth,
the joy,
the love,
the heartache,
the wonderment
or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much,
before I was a Mom.

I'm Happy!!!
Why? Finally, my own complete series FRIENDS dvd set.
My sweet hubby gave it to me as a pre-birthday gift (thanks, da!).
I'm a big fan of this hit show since I got here in the US.
Now, I don't need to record the reruns or even stay up late just to watch it.
I can watch it whenever I want to. =)

Outlet Shopping

We went to Edinburg Premium Outlet last Saturday with Tata & Nicole ( hubby's auntie & niece).
It was their first major shopping here in the US.

As mentioned from my previous post, I wanted to buy my kulit bulilit a pair of crocs slippers.
I was so happy when I saw the Crocs store, unfortunately there was no available size for the little boy.
Instead, we ended up buying a Nike rubber shoes for him.

For mommy naman, I was able to find a pair of comfy flat shoes at Nine West.
I have been looking for a flat shoes I can wear every time we go out.
I don't want to wear rubber shoes since it's Spring na.


We were there from 11am-5pm. Imagine there are 85 outlet stores!
Tata was able to buy all the "pasalubong" at a cheap price, most of them branded pa.
She'll bring more money daw when she comes back here in the US...funny!hehe.
