Trick or Treat '08
I would like to share my son's Trick or Treat pictures last October 31 at his Ninang Carmela's place together with her kids Ate Camille, Kuya Ross, Ate Claire and Tita Maita's Baby Linc.
We all had fun trick or treating even though it was cold outside...hehe.

Jeremy's Kumon Activity
One of my son's favorite thing to do everyday is his Kumon activity.
He already finished the two workbooks, the Let's Color & More Let's Color.
I'm so proud of Jeremy, he can now trace the alphabet letters & knows a lot of colors!
He does not know yet how to hold the pen & colors properly, but I know in time he will.
It's also our bonding moment together. I love doing the Kumon activity with my son.
My favorite is the Let's Sticker & Paste....hehehe.
For those who have kids ages 2 & up, I highly recommend the Kumon Workbooks.

The Flash!
Jeremy will be "The Flash" this Halloween's trick or treat. We bought his costume two weeks ago at Halloween Express. It took us awhile before we got a costume for our little boy. We went to Disney Store couple of times looking for a costume that will suit him just like we did two years in a row, but we're not able to pick one for him. I remember when we first saw the Nemo & Lightning Mcqueen costumes in Disney store, we knew immediately we found the right costume. When we went to Halloween Express store, we spent 1 1/2 hr looking again for our son's costume. When we saw the Flash toddler costume & tried it on to him, ayun na, Perfect! Not to mention the price, it was on sale...tipid pa. He was even running in the store wearing the costume, portraying the real character hehehe. It reminded me also of Eddie Murphy's movie, Daddy Day Care, a 3 1/2 boy named Tony who wears Flash costume 24/7...hehehe.
Our little boy is in his terrible 2 stage right now, running around the house suits him as our little Flash.

A Short Conversation With My Son
Out of nowhere, I asked this question to my 34 month old son:
Mommy: Jeremy, do you want a baby sister?
Jeremy: No.
Mommy: How about baby brother?
Jeremy: Yes, baby bother! ( silent R ...hehe)
Mommy: Ay no, son...baby sister na this time!
Jeremy: No, baby bother! baby bother! baby bother!
Haaay, there you go. I got my answer. I guess he's ready to be a Kuya, he wants a baby brother nga lang...ayayay!

Jeremy's birthday greeting
Last July 27, Dada celebrated his 30th birthday.
I had a surprise avp for him during the party, a slideshow of his photos & birthday greetings from his family in the Philippines & close friends.
I would like to share my son's birthday greeting in the avp.
Super happy ang Mommy while taking the video.
Normally, he won't stay that long in front of the video or camera. Nakipag-cooperate s'ya with matching birthday kiss pa...hehe.
Of course, super happy din ang birthday celebrant. =)

Everybody is Kung Fu Fighting, Yaah!

We had another movie date last Saturday.
But, this time with Jeremy.
Since he always do the kung fu move every time he sees the Kung Fu Panda trailer in the TV, we thought of bringing him in the big screen.
Kudos to our little boy, he was well behaved althroughout the movie.
At first when I sat him down, he was totally looking around. I guess thinking why is it dark inside...hehe.
Then, he pointed out the big screen and said "TV".
I just gave him his snacks and there he was sitting and munching while watching the movie.
A few times he got up and did the kung fu panda moves once again.
Hubby & I were just laughing at him...hehe.
We enjoyed watching the movie, nothing fancy though but it's a total summer entertainment for the whole family.

Dental Check-up
Last Wednesday(4/22, sorry super late kuwento na) was Jeremy's first visit to the Dentist.
We had a 2:30pm appointment with Dr. Lawrence Miller, a pediatric dentist.
The little boy was so behaved while Dr. Miller was checking his teeth.
Jeremy's teeth are perfectly OK! Worth it ang toothbrush session namin every morning & evening...hehe.
Since my kulit bulilit is only 2yrs old, he will have his first teeth cleaning at the age of 3.
So, we will go back next year na.
Jeremy got a Diego toothbrush & small dolphin stuffed toy after the check up.

Haircut Day
Last Saturday, our kulit bulilit had a haircut at ShortCuts 4 Kids in Louisville,KY.
Finally, I was able to convince hubby. Cute daw ang long hair ni little boy.
Well, not for me...hehe.
We were there at exactly 11am for his appointment.
I was kinda worried when we got there because most of the kids were crying while having their haircut.
Fortunately, he was well behaved the whole time. It took only less than 15mins to cut his hair.
I love his new hair, pogi! =)

Crocs or Havaianas?
It's already spring and I would like to buy my kulit bulilit a pair of slippers.
However, I'm torn between Crocs & Havaianas.
I saw this cute crocs slippers at FinishLine when we were at the mall a few weeks ago.
It's quite expensive though for a toddler's slippers.

Then, just last week I came across with this Havaianas slippers while surfing the internet.
Cuteness again! haaay.
A little bit cheaper than Crocs ( plus points! hehe).

I still have a few days to decide what to buy. We'll probably go to the mall this weekend.
So, what do you think? Crocs or Havainas?
Mommy, think think think!

Saturday weekend
We went to Babies R' US yesterday and bought the Chicco Capri Stroller ( Alaska Red) for Jeremy.
Since I already visited their website, it didn't take us long to decide what stroller to buy.
As posted in my previous blog, I like the Maclaren stroller but when hubby saw it, aside from the price he didn't like the quality daw.
Ok fine, you're the financier...hehe.

Aside for the stroller, we checked out also the baby registry of our good friend Maita & Windell.
Their baby shower will be on May pa but we decided to buy our gift since we're already there.
Hubby wanted to give something that the baby will use for quite a long time.
We chose the Philips AVENT Newborn Feeding Essentials.
I know that the mommy-to-be will be happy to receive this.
As a mom, I'm a big fan of Avent products.
Next we went to Oxmoor Mall to use our Macy's gift card.
It's hubby's gift card talaga, got from his visa rewards.
He told me to buy anything I want from the gift card.
Since I don't need to buy anything for myself, I decided to buy him his Issey Miyake perfume.
I've been insisting him to buy his perfume ( sinisimot nya na lng ung perfume nya eh, hehe).
Thank God for the Macy's gift card!
Our Oxmoor Mall trip will not be complete without going to Disney Store.
We're still a little bit far from the store but you can hear the little boy saying "Mickey, Mickey".
As usual he was so excited when he saw the disney characters at the store.
My son is a big fan of Disney Cars & Toy Story( 1 & 2).
Since he has a lot of Disney Cars stuff, we bought him the buzz lightyear & woody action figure toy this time.
Good thing though it was on sale. We won't buy if it's not on sale.
When we got home, he insisted to open the box immediately.
Of course while playing with Buzz & Woody he was watching Toys Story.
I was thinking nga of writing Jeremy's name at the bottom of buzz & woody's shoes...gaya-gaya sa movie...hehe.
Lastly, at exactly 8pm last night, we turned off all our lights.
We participated on the Earth's hour yesterday.

We're aware of the global issue that we're facing right now that's why we participated in this big event and we're proud we did.

Light Weight Stroller
We will go to Babies R' Us this Saturday to buy a light weight stroller for Jeremy.
When he turned 2, we transitioned him from a full size stroller to umbrella stroller.
We bought a simple umbroller when we had our Manila vacation last 2006 and super convenient to use.
However, since he is a toddler na, we noticed that he can't barely move whenever we put him there.
So, hubby and I decided to buy a new light weight stroller for him that we can easily bring whenever we go and much more comfortable stroller for Jeremy.
We went to Target last Saturday and I saw the Maclaren Volo Stroller but when I checked the price, oops out of the budget!
*Sigh* I like it pa naman.

Anyway, I might consider these two strollers which I saw at Target also, much more cheaper than Maclaren but with good ratings:

Clean Up, Clean Up
I read an article at BabyCenter.com about how to teach your toddler a chore.
"Assigning chores to your toddler might well seem like a chore in itself. After all, a 2-year-old isn't going to be the neatest or most efficient worker. But giving your toddler even the tiniest measure of responsibility now will pay off later by laying the groundwork for future good habits. Plus, having a chore to do makes your child feel like part of the family, someone whose contribution is valued. "
My experience:
I Love you. =)

My experience:
When you have a toddler, toys are everywhere in the house.
No matter how many times you clean up, a minute or two there'll be another new toy on the loose.
I just came to the point to let go. I have a toddler, period. =)
I usually do it every night before his bedtime.
However, we do it together. He'll pick up all his lego and put it in the lego bucket.
So far, he enjoys doing it. I think for him it's a way of playing.
I Love you. =)

Trip to SIGS Sportsplex
We went to SIGS Sportsplex yesterday to inquire about their toddler swimming class.
They have 5 programs; gymnastics, cheerleading, swimming, bounce time, and open gym.
When we saw the swimming pool and kids having fun in the water, Jeremy got excited and even thought that we're going inside the pool area.
The Spring schedule for the swimming program will start on March 23-June 7.
Since my son is a toddler, he will be in a parent and tot swimming class.
A water exploration class for toddlers accompanied by adults.
It's a 10 week session every Thursday and Saturday.
We're still thinking when to enroll him because there's another Summer schedule on June 8- August 16.
Hubby thought that it might be too early for next month because of the cold weather.
I'm really excited to enroll my son in a toddler activity class like this.
I would like to expose him an activity where he can mingle with other people especially with kids same his age.
I like the Gymboree class also but their nearest location is in Louisville, KY which is quite far from our house.
We enjoyed our tour to SIGS especially when we saw the kids taking their gymnastic class.
When we told Jeremy that it's time to go home, he immediately answered us with a big "NO". He even ended up crying because he really doesn't want to go.
Don't worry son, you'll soon have your 10 weeks fun there. =)

It's about time
Jeremy co-sleeps with us since birth.
His playpen is only for nap time, time out and if I have an important things to do.
He has also a 5 in 1 crib which we already transformed to a toddler bed but he does not want to sleep there.
However, just this week he learned to climb and get out of his playpen that's why hubby and I decided to keep the playpen because it is not safe anymore.
Since he fell asleep while playing in the living room last night, I got the chance to put him in his toddler bed. Yipee! hehe
I will surely miss him in our room but it is about time to teach him to sleep in his own room.
This will be another challenge for us. We're still not yet done with the potty training though (still no luck at all...haay, patience mommy, patience).
Just an update, he woke up at 5:30am and went straight to our room.
He ended up sleeping in our bed! But, it's OK, at least he was able to sleep for several hours in his room.
Way to go son, I know you can make it!
We might go to Bowles Mattress Company this afternoon to look for a twin bed for him.
We're considering to buy him a real bed which he can use for a long time, much more spacious than his toddler bed.
As I was surfing the net yesterday, I found this at Walmart.com
I hope we can find a similar one like this at Bowles.
I really like the storage compartment.
